On our last article, we’ve featured the recently launched Dahua Wireless Series, particularly the Hero Series where we highlighted its basic functions and advantages. This time, we’ve invited again Ms. Bai Yang, Product Manager at Dahua Technology, to tell us more about the design and inspiration behind this brand new intelligent cameras that enable simple connection and flexible usage.

Hello Ms. Bai! Can you describe in details the physical features of the Hero Series?

Hi! Sure. The Hero Series presents a stylish and concise contour lines that outline its overall rounded shape, and the base of the refreshingly sharp straight line modelling makes the overall look more stable and dynamic. The gold-colored ring-shaped lines serves as an embellishment to the overall simplicity of the product without losing its character. While maintaining the product's functionality, texture, aesthetics, and longevity, Hero's design also considers raw material selection and the environmental impact of material processing, production, distribution, usage, and recycling. It is designed for indoor environments such as supermarkets, retail stores, etc., with focus on simple and easy-to-use remote management and viewing functions. Hero enhances the appearance of the PTZ camera product line and constructs an intelligent capability set with scene adaption. The Hero Series provides an ideal product that can adapt to the needs of customers in various application scenarios.

What is the inspiration and story behind the design this product?

The inspiration behind the design of this product came from cute little penguins. A little penguin is usually associated with warmth, so we hope to bring users a homey feeling by designing a penguin-like appearance. In terms of product design, Hero adopts soft and rounded lines, which increases the attractiveness and cuteness of the product. Its side profile gives the impression that the small penguin is enthusiastically flapping its wings, which is amusing and innocent. The design of the camera sphere is also different from the traditional hidden sphere, showing the rotation of the sphere more intuitively and allowing users to sense a more genuine contact with the product.

What value does it bring to customers and where can it be applied?

As I mentioned before, the Hero Series is mainly suitable for indoor application scenarios such as supermarkets and retail stores. Its main advantages include ease of use and remote management view. Users can achieve real-time monitoring and management of the store with simple operation, greatly improving the store's safety and working efficiency.

Are there any future plans for the Hero Series?

Of course. We will continue to work hard to innovate and upgrade our products to better meet the needs of our users. We plan to develop a plethora of intelligent functions in the future that will assist users in managing their stores more effectively. For example, we plan to include a voice assistant feature that allows users to control and operate their devices using voice commands. Furthermore, we intend to launch DIY-able exterior designs, allowing users to customize the appearance of various styles based on their preference and mood (e.g. rainbow design).

Next, let’s talk about the Turret Series. How would you describe it?

The Turret Series presents a minimalist style, with simple colors, shapes, and clear functions. It appears light, thin, sturdy, and simple but powerful. The main characteristics of this product line are rational and practical, simple and neat, intuitive and simple to understand, as well as elegant and generous. The product emphasizes simplicity and ease of use, and it is primarily applicable to indoor scenes such as supermarkets and retail stores.

What are the future plans for this series?

The future development will continue focusing on simplicity and ease of use, with a more robust appearance and simpler installation and application. We will continue to delve deeper to adapt intelligent functions to specific application scenarios in order to provide users with a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Let’s move on to the Picoo Series. Can you tell us the inspiration behind its design？

Sure. The design of this PT camera for outdoor scenes is inspired by the perfect combination of heaven and earth. We wanted to create a unique and personalized product by designing a simple and artistic silhouette. The PT camera's shape perfectly exemplifies the design concept of "the dome-like heaven embraces the vast earth," while also demonstrating the complementary aesthetics of being in motion and being static. We used the Dahua PI colors (pearl white and obsidian black) in the color, material, and texture selections, giving the product an excellent texture design. Furthermore, we gave full consideration to ease of use in the human-camera interaction. The unique bracket and hidden wiring harness design injected new vitality into the product.

What value does it bring to customers? What application scenarios is it suitable for?

The product is primarily applicable to the security monitoring of outdoor scenes such as supermarkets. It offers remote monitoring, sound and light linkage alarm, as well as pre-warning alert to aid evidence collection. This not only raises the user's security awareness but also addresses the issue of security risks.

What is the future direction of its innovative features?

We will implement richer intelligent functions in the future to enable users to manage monitoring more simply and intelligently. For example, we will add a zoom function to allow the camera to be used for both close and long-range surveillance. This improves the user's perception of the surrounding environment and enhances security. Furthermore, we will continue to pay attention to technological advancements, user feedback, and development of more advanced and practical features to provide a better experience and service.

Lastly, the Bullet Series. What’s the idea behind its unique design?

The Bullet Series camera is designed with a time capsule element. Its clean and smooth shape presents a sense of elegance and purity, which corresponds to the public's pursuit of aesthetics. The Bullet camera is like a time capsule; guarding time with all of its heart and soul. With a soft and fashionable appearance, the product focuses on simplicity and ease of use. It is primarily applicable for outdoor scenes such as supermarkets and retail stores, providing users with comprehensive security protection.

What are your future plans for this intelligent camera?

The future direction for its functions is more warm, cozy, and solid. We plan to add a variety of designs based on space-time monitoring concept. To improve its design elements, we will concentrate on the shape, indicator light, and other aspects. The product will be loaded with more rich and diverse intelligent functions and higher pixel lens, enabling it to see farther and clearer and be used with greater confidence.
